There’s no such thing as coincidence in murder cases.

So I am a little wary when I start in the end of a well established series but this was not to shabby in keeping you in the loop and connected. Alexander Cooper, lawyer by trade but she has a knack for investigative detective work and it shows when a well-known New York designer is discovered dead in a apparent suicide. The daughter of the deceased is an old friend of Cooper’s does not buy that her father committed suicide and after discovering some family secrets, it becomes apparent what was a suicide is now murder.

The chemistry between Detectives Mike Chapman and Cooper is in the mix of this murder case along with the past of Cooper’s abduction that plays into her confidence and well-being.

Cooper is persistent and dedicated which always makes for a good read when it comes to who dun it crime novel.

A Special Thank You to Dutton and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
