When a husband honors his wife, the wife’s heart is drawn closer to him and they become one

This book is geared for Christian men who desire to understand how to honor his wife. As a wife, reading this, I learned how important it is in relationships what honor does to a marriage and to each individually. It is a cooperation among couples, however, when cooperation is not present, you honor God when you honor your spouse. Just to be clear, this book does not endorse abusive relationships and power hungry men but it does endorse servant-hood within the marriage. How can I better serve my wife to meet her needs to grow spiritually and emotionally. In doing so, a marriage becomes more of partnership that God intended.

The essence of love is pursuit (kindle location 936). In honoring another, it is a pursuit not for the weary but for intentional at best. There are so many books on marriage so how does this rate among those, I think it offers something for a husband who desires to understand how honoring your wife is cherishing her heart, mind and soul. Maybe you don’t have a good example of that growing up in your own family in how your father treated your mother. I think this book gives a great direction to that. For a wife, it is good to know what God expects from each so that she can partner with her husband to make those steps in honoring. It is when we honor others that growth and well being occurs.
