A Fatal Attraction meets oblivion. What tribulations can test marriage? A past not fully disclosed? An unanswered phone call at 1:00 a.m.? Receipts for flowers never received? Sarah McDonald marriage is about to be tested after a fire destroyed her house. Sarah a successful writer with an imagination that has done her well, will that same imagination be the death of her marriage? Married to a successful doctor, her husband is out of town on business on the night of the fire. Unable to reach him, her imagination starts to play out after the results of the fire that killed their neighbors and left their little girl an orphan. Secrets are revealed in these quiet neighborhoods that are proving to be deadly.

The reveal in the last part of this thriller was worth the read however, the issues of Sarah and her husband Johnny were tedious. In not making up her mind about her marriage, it became difficult to connect and root for her.
