The human body almost always spoke the truth even when the mouth lied.

It all comes down to whom you can trust. James has lived with that question all of his life. Coming from an abusive relationship with his father, he now makes it a life mission to protect children working for the New Hampshire Child Protective Services. Married to Maya, a police officer, they seem to complement each other in every way. They have each other’s back and fight as a team.

When James befriends Kevin because of concerns of abuse, he and his wife develop a friendship with Kevin’s parents. Tucker and Melanie have had their own heartaches as well. Losing a son to a boating accident and the stress of making ends meet in the fishing industry.

Their friendship develops but is it one that can be trusted when confronted with what would I do if…?

A thriller dealing with not only child abuse but drug abuse and trusting the system.

A Special Thank you to Red Adept Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
