You never know who you can trust. Who can you trust when your sister is brutally murdered? Who can you trust when your husband strays? Who can you trust when your best friend commits suicide? Liv feels responsible for the death of her sister. She tells herself that she could have done something to save her. Liv’s husband who has confessed to his infidelity, but is it really over? And her best friend Julia sends her text that she needs to talk with her ASAP and Liv ignores the text until she finds Julia the next day dead in her living room that the authorities have deemed a suicide.
The prose is a roller coaster ride as our protagonist Liv is determined to get to the bottom of the apparent suicide of Julia and our antagonist the a psychopath who is determined to stop anyone that get in his way.
On the edge of my seat with this one trying to determine who the killer was. With well-developed characters, Julia who apparently had many sides to her that Liv is at a loss to what really happened. . Who is Julia’s boyfriend Damien? With his suspicious past, can Liv trust him? Is the apparent suicide of Julia and the murder of her sister Kara related?
With all that is going, the prose is easy to keep up. Leaves you a little breathless and you are left guessing who the antagonist real identity. Good read!
